AURORA, Ill. – The Spartan Double Gun tournament, hosted by Aurora University, was shortened earlier today due to thunderstorms and other poor weather conditions. However, Augustana men's team participated in the single-round event and finished in 11^th-place out of 15 teams.
 
Brendan Fritz led the way for the Vikings with a t-26 finish and a final score of 80 (+8). Hunter Love (82, +10) and Dan Ford (83, +11) were the only other Augie players to crack the top 40.
 
Adam Soczka, Jonah Snelling, Tyler Langel, and Clayton Kemp rounded out the Viking roster with placements of t-42, t-57, t-64, and t-87, respectfully.
 
The hosts, Aurora University, were represented well on the individual leaderboard with five participants in the top 10, including Braeden Duncan, the champion of event. Duncan posted the only round in the red at two-under par.
 
Augustana will hit the links again this weekend when they travel to Galena, Ill. for the Midwest Region Fall Classic from Friday, Sept. 10 to Saturday, Sept. 11.
