ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana men's water polo team will be back in action for the first time in nearly a month this weekend as they head to the state of California to compete in the Gary Troyer Tournament to be played at various campuses. The two-day tournament is comprised of 27 teams and will take place at four different locations.
The Vikings begin their trip bright and early on Friday at 9:00 a.m. local time to take on the Chapman Panthers at Haldeman Pool on the campus of Pomona-Pitzer. The Panthers currently sit at 1-6 on the season. Following their morning game, Augie will next face off with Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. local time. This match will take place at Axelrood Pool on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Kingsmen have found success so far early on this season as they post an 8-1 record and are currently riding a five-game winning streak. Cal Lutheran defeated Chapman, Augustana's first opponent of the weekend, earlier this year by a score of 17-13.

On Saturday, Augie will begin their day facing California Baptist Lancers at 9:00 a.m. local time. The Lancers sit at 4-8 on the season. The game was a late substitution to the schedule as the Vikings were originally scheduled This contest will be played at La Verne at their home aquatics center.

live stats will both be available for this game. The Vikings close their trip against the Westcliff Warriors, who sit at 1-8 this season. This contest is slated for 12:45 p.m. back on the campus of CMS at Axelrood Pool.
