ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana women's volleyball team (4-12) will hit the road tomorrow night for another CCIW match. The Vikings will visit Elmhurst for a tilt with the 5-6 Bluejays.

Augustana will look to snap its current seven-match losing streak, but the task will be no easy feat. Despite their below-.500 record, Elmhurst has won its last four contests including their conference opener at Carroll University.

The Bluejays offensive attack is led by Taylor Zurleine with 122 kills and Erin Murray with 255 assists. Zurliene is second on the team in digs with 137 behind Valerie Thomas with 182. Thomas and Murray have been nails when serving as well with 15 and 10 respective service aces to their credit. At the net, Emily Duis paces Elmhurst with 27 blocks.

The Bluejays have had Augie's number in their most recent match-ups with two consecutive wins over the Vikings. Most recently, Elmhurst defeated Augie 3-1 in 2021's spring season. Overall, the Bluejays hold a 7-3 series lead dating back to 2013.

The Vikings statistical efforts have been excellent, despite their win-loss record. Emily Schipper and Brook Fieldman lead the team in kills with 148 and 136, respectively. Schipper is also tied with Jenny Dunder for most blocks on the club with 27. The Vikings' most prolific blocker, Ja'Nya Davis, has been absent due to injury for the last several games, but is still third in that category with 21. Olivia Doak and Grace Vranicar have also been mainstays in the Viking game plan. Doak leads the team with 355 assists while Vranicar has recorded 266 digs.
