GALENA, Ill. – The Augustana men's golf team competed at the Clarke University Fall Classic this weekend. Hosted at the Eagle Ridge North Course in Galena, the Vikings placed near the middle of the pack in the team race at T5 with Viterbo University.
 
Mount Mercy University won the team title with a compounded score of +27 as a team, a full 11 shots lower than the runner-up team from Hawkeye Community College.
 
Hawkeye's Tom Bell did take the individual crown with a two-day score of +4.
 
Augustana's Adam Soczka was the only Viking in the top 10 on the final leaderboard as he shot +11 for the tournament, good for solo 10^th-place.
 
The Vikings will be back on the course at the Elmhurst Fall Invitational in Oak Brook, Ill. for a one-day event on Thursday, Sept. 23.
