NORMAL, Ill. – Senior Dylan Flock (Maroa-Forsyth HS, Forsythe, Ill.) shot  82-78—160 on Friday and Saturday to lead Augustana to an 18th-place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational at Ironwood Golf Course. Next up for Coach Paul Del Vecchio's team is the CCIW Preview at Weibring Golf Course on Wednesday, April 7.
 
Flocks' effort tied for 56th place in a field of 110 golfers.
 
Sophomore Tyler Langel (West Delaware HS, Manchester, Iowa) carded a 79 on Friday and an 83 on Saturday to tie for 63rd with a two-round total of 162.
 
Rounding out the Viking contingent were junior Hunter Love (Alleman HS, Rock Island, Ill.) and sophomores Jonah Snelling (Benet Academy, Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Brendan Fritz (Sycamore HS, Sycamore, Ill.).
 
Fritz (82-87—169) tied for 89th, Love (89-88-177) placed 105th and Snelling (90-92—182) 107th.
 
Led by medalist Rob Wuethrich (67-73—140), host Illinois Wesleyan claimed the team title (283-299—582) by 10 strokes over second-place Aurora (295-297—592). UW-Eau Claire (303-311—614) was third in a field of 20 teams, with Carthage (310-305—615) and Webster (304-311—615) finishing in a tie for fourth. Augustana shot 332-336—668 for the weekend.
