Ryan Sullivan (The Gow School, Winnetka, Ill.) and junior
Justin Cassens (Emerald Ridge HS, Puyallup, Wash.) were 8-2 winners over Jordan Nowell and Chris Jensen at number three and seniors Caio de Rezende
(Colegio Itoca, Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Peter Alex (Hinsdale South HS, Darien, Ill.) claimed a 8-3 win over Lucas Nay and Brian Trefliek at number one.
Miedema's crew was even more dominant in singles play, scoring three love, love victories. No Viking dropped a second-set game.
Cassens, Boudreau and Sullivan scored respective 6-0, 6-0 wins at fourth, fifth and sixth singles. Cassens downed Strupp. Boudreau defeated Nowell and Sullivan bested Jensen.
De Rezende handled Nay 6-1, 6-0 at number one and at number two, Alex beat Trefliek by the same score. St. Paul was a 6-4, 6-0 winner over Barter at third singles.
Augustana is back in action on Thursday, April 29, hosting a 4:00 p.m. dual with Wheaton at the Lower Campus Courts.
