Kyle Boudreau picked up a win at number three doubles in the Vikings 6-3 loss at Coe on March 7.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Augustana dropped a 6-3 decision to traditional Midwest powerhouse Coe in non-conference men's tennis action on Sunday, March 7 at the Clark Racquet Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Vikings, now 1-1 on the season, picked up two wins in singles and one in doubles as the Kohawks showed strength at the top of the lineup.

Jon Miedema, his number three doubles team of
Kyle Boudreau (Antioch HS, Antioch, Ill.) and
Leonardo Panosso (La Sale Caxias, Caxias Do Sul, Brazil) picked up an impressive 8-1 over the Coe team of Jordan Oaks and Jack Cook.
The Vikings lost the other two doubles matches, however, and fell behind 2-1 heading into singles. At number one, Caio DeRezende
(Colegio Itoca, Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Alvaro Leal (Maristas Valencia, Valencia, Spain) fell to Rami Hemaidan and Bo Wilson 8-1 while
Peter Alex (Hinsdale South HS, Darien, Ill.) and
Eliot St. Paul (Ecole Diagonal, Paris, France) dropped an 8-4 decision to Jon Lansing and Nathan Meskell at number two.
St. Paul defeated Oaks 4-6; 6-0; 10-5 at number five singles and
Justin Cassens (Emerald Ridge HS, Puyallup, Wash.) knocked off Ethan Weber 6-1; 7-5 at number six.
DeRezende fell to Hemaidan 4-6; 6-2; 0-6 at number one and Leal dropped a 4-6; 4-6 decision to Lansing at number two. Alex lost 4-6; 7-9 to Meskell at number three and Panosso went down 3-6; 3-6 to Wilson at number four.
The Vikings are in action again on Sunday, March 14 against Wisconsin-Whitewater in a match that is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Quad City Tennis Club.
