CORNELL 30, AUGUSTANA 18
Augustana fell in an early 9-0 hole against the Rams, forfeiting at 125 pounds and losing a decision at 133. Freshman
Nic Minnito (Plainfield Central HS, Lockport, Ill.) got the Vikings on the board with a 9-6 win over Cristian Dixon at 141 and senior
Daniel Terronez (Moline HS, Moline, Ill.) followed with an 11-6 decision over Jacob Ramirez at 149 to cut the deficit to 9-6.
After three straight defeats, two by fall, Augustana trailed 24-6. The Vikings sandwiched pins from senior
Josh Bush (Moline HS, Moline, Ill.) at 184 and sophomore
Daniel Skold (St. Francis HS, Plainfield, Ill.) at 285 around a loss by fall at 197 to account for the final. Bush bested Jacob Scherz in 3:46 and Skold took 1:57 to stick Alex Heisdorffer.
Cornell improved to 5-1 on the year.

Augustana's wins against Luther came at 133 pounds, where sophomore
Trevor Boryla (Sycamore HS, Sycamore, Ill.) defeated Brier Babin 9-7 and at 174, where senior
Frankie Faasen (Manasquan HS, Lake Como, N.J.) won by fall at 5:23 of his match with Tanner Weaver.
The Vikings again forfeited at 125, dropped three decisions, one major decision, one technical fall and two matches via fall. They also lost a point due to an unsportsmanlike conduct infraction.
A member of the rigorous American Rivers Conference, Luther improved to 5-5 on the season.
