ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's basketball (6-5, 1-2) will resume their schedule this week with a non-conference matchup with the Fighting Scots of Monmouth College.

Monmouth enters the week with a 6-2 overall record and 3-0 mark in conference play. The Scots' trip to the Quad Cities will end a lengthy holiday hiatus as they have not competed since Dec. 8.

Despite the long break, Monmouth won their last three games, all of which in Midwest Conference action. The Fighting Scots' last loss came to Westminster College at the end of November.

Monmouth has two players averaging double-digit points on the season including Josie Morgan with a team-best 15.3 ppg and Kaitlyn Osmulski with 12.9 ppg. Morgan and Osmulski also lead the Scots in three-point shooting with percentages upwards of 37.5%.

On the boards, two other Monmouth players lead the way, each with an average of 8.4 rebounds per game. Jordan Kintigh and Zoie Wall have been excellent on the glass for Monmouth. Elsewhere, Morgan also leads the Fighting Scots in assists with an average of 4.4 per game.

Since 2013, Augustana holds a significant advantage over Monmouth. The Vikings lead the series 6-1 since that time and have won the last six matchups. The Fighting Scots last victory in the series came in 2013 via an 81-72 win at the Carver Center.
