NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Augustana wrestling had a difficult night on the mat tonight in both the men's and women's dual meets. The host Cardinals scored 40+ points in both matches.
The Viking women (0-2) dropped their second dual meet of the season by a 40-4 score. The first three weight classes were won by NCC via forfeit. In the head-to-head matches, North Central won four of five classes with victories by Flora Vizi, Raena Schledwitz, Skyy Hills, and Shelby Ottum.
Sawyer Graham was the only Augie athlete to win as she captured the 170-pound bout by tech. fall over Sadie Hill.
The women also included ten extra matches with nine of those contests going to the Cardinals and Graham winning the only extra match for Augustana.
On the men's side, Augustana (0-3, 0-2) dropped a lopsided dual of their own. The ninth-ranked Cardinals defeated Augie 42-3.
Ellex Williams was the only Viking to win after a 3-1 decision over NCC's Julian Valtierrez at 125 pounds. Elsewhere, North Central won four matches by fall and three others by major decision.
