ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana men's water polo team will make history on Saturday, November 13 when they host the visiting McKendree Bearcats in the first-ever home varsity contest from inside the newly built Anne Greve Lund Natatorium.

The Vikings will take on the Bearcats in their final game of their inaugural season and will honor two senior student-athletes in Harris Dibek and Andrew Oliger following the contest.

Augustana enters Saturday after three weeks off since their last contest, which was a 12-10 win over Penn State Behrend in the final game of the CWPA DIII East Championships in Connecticut. The Vikings went 2-0 in their last two games  of the tournament, defeating host school Connecticut College and PSB to earn them fifth place overall. Joseph Addison was named to the CWPA DIII East All-Tournament Team for his performances during the weekend in which the team went 2-2 overall. The Vikings currently sit at 4-11 on the season.

McKendree, an NCAA DII program, sports a 10-9 record this season and earned second place at the Mid-Atlantic West Championships. The team was defeated in the title game by Gannon by a score of 15-13 in their most recent outing. The Bearcats and Vikings met earlier this season at McKendree, resulting in a 16-4 win for the home team.

Start time for Saturday's game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The senior recognition ceremony will begin approximately five minutes following the conclusion of the contest. The game will be live streamed via the Viking Sports Network and live stats can be found here.
