ELMHURST, Ill. – The Viking men's wrestling (0-2) team suffered a narrow defeat at Elmhurst this evening in Augie's first CCIW dual of the season.
 
The host Bluejays rode three wins by fall to a 24-22 victory. The pins came in the 141-pound bout when Jimmy McAuliffe took down Kameron Hanel, at 157 pounds when Jeff Nugent defeated Angel Cruz, and in the heavywight match when Roberto Pena pinned Jacob Ramos.
 
Augustana earned lopsided victories in the 133-pound match as Trevor Boryla defeated Jeff Becerra by tech. fall and at 197 pounds when Adam Ederar pinned David Ortiz.
