NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Grace Vranicar of the Augustana women's volleyball team has been named Second Team All-Conference for the 2021 season, the CCIW announced Monday.

Vranciar played in all 32 matches for the Vikings this season and made an appearance in 116 of the team's 118 sets played this season. The sophomore ranked fourth in the conference in digs per game with 4.51 and was second in total digs with 523.  In conference matches only, Vrancicar ranked first. She finished the year with a receiving percentage of .944 and cracked triple-digits in assists with 101. Vranciar was also named to the all-tournament team in the early-season outing in California and ended 2021 with 8 matches with 20-plus digs, including 33 in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory against Dubuque on October 15. She tallied double-digit digs in 30 of 32 contests played this year.

"Grace has been a consistent player and scrappy defender all season," said head coach Kelly Bethke. "She was always someone we counted on to be ready to play at her best. She had a great season and is well-deserving of this recognition."
