ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's volleyball continues their CCIW slate tonight with another home conference match. The Vikings will host Millikin at 7:00 P.M.
Millikin enters the day with an 11-6 overall record but is an even .500 at 2-2 in conference play. The Big Blue are currently riding a five-game losing streak including two ranked losses against 18
th-ranked University of Chicago and 21
st-ranked Bethel University. Most recently, Millikin dropped its last two CCIW contests to Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton.
Millikin is led by a remarkable front line with a deep stable of hitters and and blockers. Tori Stuart leads the Big Blue in kills with 238 followed by Kamryn Flesner with 146, Jessi Kreder with 143, and Lauren Brummel with 124. Kreder is also one of two Millikin players with 50+ blocks at 59. Sophia Gibbs is second in that category with 54.
Julianna Vassallo leads the Big Blue in digs with 246, nearly a hundred more than anyone else on the team. Two players have triple-digit assists including Olivia Grbavic with 411 and Reece Brown with 182.
Millikin has dominated Augustana in recent history. The Big Blue have won all ten previous matches dating back to 2013.
