NORMAL, Ill. – The Augustana women's golf team finished play at the CCIW Women's Golf Championship with a good amount of both team and individual success. The Vikings finished alone in third place in the team standings and produced three individuals in the top 10.
Augustana's team score after two rounds was +70, over 60 strokes lower than Elmhurst, the fourth-place finisher. Carthage won the team crown with an impressive score of +39. Illinois Wesleyan was the runner-up with a score of +46.
Carthage also produced three of the top four finishers including the champion, Adrienne Rohwedder, at +2, Kate Munro in third at +6, and Madi McCoy tied in fourth at +7. Lexi Onsrud of Illinois Wesleyan was the individual runner-up at +5.
Augustana had three members in the top 10 on the final leaderboard.
Avery Frick shot a final-round 76, her best round of the tournament, to finish alone in sixth at +13.
Grace Loverde also shot her best round (75) on day three to finish T7 at +15.
Rylie Schurter posted a total score of +22 to finish T10.
Augustana's three other players finished just outside the top 10.
Jennifer Larsson shot +24 to finish T12, Elena Kuczkowski posted +25 to finish 14
th, and
Kelsey O'Connor ended the tournament at +29 and alone in 17
th.
