NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The bracket has been set for the 2021 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Tennis Championship to be played October 19-23, 2021 with the main draw being hosted by Elmhurst University at Centre Court in Hanover Park, Illinois. The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team earned the No. 5 seed in the upcoming tournament and will play the No. 4 seed Carthage on Thursday, October 21 at approximately 11:00 a.m.
The Vikings enter this tournament following a 4-4 mark in conference play. The team fell to the Firebirds on the road earlier this year by a score of 5-4.
The main draw will begin on Thursday October 21. North Central earned the #1 seed by going undefeated (8-0) in the regular season. The Cardinals will be defending their Spring 2021 title and will face the winner of the Elmhurst/North Park match at 9:00am.
The #4 seed Carthage will face off against the #5 seed Augustana at approximately 11:00a.m., or 30 minutes after the previous match.
In the bottom half of the bracket, #3 Wheaton will play #7 Carroll at approximately 1:00p.m., or 30 minutes after the previous match.
In the final match of the day, Millikin, runner up in the regular season and the #2 seed, will face off against #7 Illinois Wesleyan at approximately 3:00p.m., or 30 minutes after the previous match.
The semi-finals are slated for Friday at 10:30a.m. and 1:00p.m.
Championship Saturday will feature the third place match at 11:30a.m and the Championship at 2:00 p.m.
Admission for the all matches at Centre Court (Cash Only) is:
Adults: $8 or $16 for a 3 day pass.
Seniors, Students and Children ages 6-14 - $5 or $10 for a 3 day pass
Children ages 5 and under-Free
Current CCIW Students upon presentation of a current CCIW ID are Free
The top four teams from the Fall Championship will compete April 29-30, 2022 for the CCIW's Automatic Qualification to the NCAA Tournament.
