COAL VALLEY, Ill. – The Augustana men's golf team competed in a rescheduled event yesterday. The Duane Chaney Classic, hosted by Black Hawk College, was originally scheduled to be played at the end of August, but was postponed.
The Vikings were represented by two teams at the Chaney Classic and finished in fifth and eighth in the team race. The higher finisher of Augie's squads, the "Blue" team, shot +35. The other team, Augustana's "Yellow" team, finished at +49.
Tyler Langel led Augustana on the individual leaderboard with a T6 finish at +6. Augie's next best round was posted by Brendon Fritz at +8, good enough for T8.

Illinois Central College won the team competition at +21, just two strokes better than one of two teams representing Black Hawk College.
Ethan Neumer of St. Ambrose was the only player to not finish over par as he won the event with an even round of 71.
