Senior profile - Dylan Malinowski
Senior sprinter Dylan Malinowski

The spring sports athletes at Augustana were denied their opportunity to complete their senior seasons because of circumstances beyond their control. Because of this, we have decided to honor these young men and women by profiling them on our athletics website. We gave our senior spring athletes the opportunity to share their thoughts with us and we will put up as many of these as are returned to us.

DYLAN MALINOWSKI (Streator-Woodland HS, Cornell, Ill.)…Sprinter on the track & field team.

Accounting and business/management major.

Dylan had an internship in tax accounting at RSM USLLP…He also worked as an ACES Driver on campus.

After graduation, Dylan is going to work as a tax accountant with RSM USLLP in Davenport, Iowa.

Thoughts on his Augustana career (academic): "Augustana academics provided me the opportunity to really develop/determine what I wanted to do with my career. Not only did I receive an excellent education, I developed great relationships with professors and classmates alike."

Thoughts on his Augustana career (athletic): "My time on the Augie track team was one that really helped me find my place at Augustana. Not only did Augie track allow me to have an outlet to relieve the stress that comes with being a college student, it allowed me to develop friendships that will last a lifetime."

Thoughts on his senior season ending early: "This is not at all how I pictured my senior year of college ending. For some unforeseen reason our class, and many classes around the nation, have been robbed of their true senior experience. Even though it is unfair, I believe/understand that this is a sacrifice that needs to be made for our society as a whole. Even though if we were to get sick, we would recover but if we contract and continue to transmit the disease there are many who would not."
