Senior Ryan Ganson placed third in the javelin Friday at
North Central's Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Illinois.

Ryan Ganson (Geneseo HS, Geneseo, Ill.) recorded Augustana's highest finish at the Dr. Keeler Invitational this weekend with a third-place mark of 187' 11" in the javelin. Ganson's effort was one of five top-10 finishes for Coach
Jake Shaver's squad at the qualifier hosted by North Central.
Seniors
Michael Johnson (Owensboro HS, Owensboro, Ky.) and
Clayton Sommers (Saydel HS, Des Moines, Iowa) posted seventh-place finishes in the 100 meters and 400-meter intermediate hurdles, respectively. Johnson clocked a :10.871 and Sommers ran a :54.31.
Senior
Brandon Wilkerson (Tri-Point HS, Stelle, Ill.) ran a 9:11.76 in the 3000-meter steeplechase to finish eighth and sophomore
Ryan Thornton (Limestone HS, Mapleton, Ill.) cleared 6' 5½" to place 10th in the high jump.
The Vikings' only season best came at 800 meters, where sophomore
Josh Teets (Burlington Central HS, Maple Park, Ill.) placed 27th in 1:54.95.
Augustana is back in action on Thursday, May 16, hosting its own Twilight Qualifier at Paul V. Olsen Track.
