Sophomore Aidan McConkey was one of six Vikings to win an individual event on
Saturday, October 26 against Millikin and Knox. McConkey won the 200 freestyle
in 1:50.89 and also swam a leg on the winning 200 freestyle relay.
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Six different swimmers won individual events and Head Coach
Dan Lloyd used seven people on two winning relay teams as the Augustana men rolled to a pair of victories on Saturday, October 26 in the Carver Pool. The Vikings defeated Millikin 138-65 and swamped Knox 168-19.
The Augustana depth was on full display as Lloyd's team did not have a single individual double winner on the afternoon. The Vikings opened the day with a win in the 200 medley relay as senior
Greg Roskowic (Rockford East HS, Rockford, Ill.), junior
Brett Keefe (Rockford Christian HS, Machesney Park, Ill.), freshman
Isaiah Valentine (Walnut Hills HS, Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior
Jeremy Wolf (Woodstock HS, Woodstock, Ill.) recorded a winning time of 1:40.48.
Closing out the meet was the 200 freestyle relay team with a victorious time of 1:31.44. Wolf was the lone holdover from the 200 medley unit as he was joined on the freestyle team by sophomore

Jack Blumenfeld (Hersey HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) and freshman
Matthew Felber (Marmion Academy, North Aurora, Ill.).
McConkey led a one-two-three sweep in the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 1:50.89 while Valentine was second in 1:53.98 and junior
Jason Palmer (Vernon Hills HS, Libertyville, Ill.) took third in 2:01.84. McConkey also placed second in the 100 freestyle in :50.41 and Palmer was third in the 500 freestyle in 5:50.59.
Valentine won the 100 butterfly (:56.80) and that was also a one-two-three sweep for the Vikings. Keefe took second (:57.82) and junior
Charles Young (St. Charles East HS, St. Charles, Ill.) was third (:59.02). Young would later place third in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.83. Keefe won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.60.
Wolfe was a winner in the 50 freestyle in :22.65 while Blumenfeld took second in :22.76 and then later in the meet came back to win the 100 freestyle (:50.08). Felber won the 500 freestyle (5:12.76) and was second in the 200 individual medley (2:04.70).
Senior
Connor Bullard (Rockford Auburn HS, Loves Park, Ill.) took second in the 1000 freestyle (11:15.11) and Roskowicz grabbed second in the 100 backstroke (:58.08). Senior
Adam Smith (Palatine HS, Palatine, Ill.) was third in both the 1000 freestyle (11:22.83) and the 200 individual medley (2:09.07).
Augustana's next action will be a dual meet on Saturday, November 9 against Loras in Dubuque, Iowa.
