Senior Eric Pohl won his opening set at fourth singles Sunday, but
ultimately fell in three as Augustana dropped a 9-0 decision to Coe
in Bettendorf, Iowa.
BETTENDORF, Iowa. – Coe's men's tennis outfit—ranked 35th in the nation and eighth in the NCAA Central Region—handed Augustana a 9-0 defeat Sunday at Bettendorf Middle School. The Vikings dropped to 13-10 on the year, while the Kohawks improved to 20-5.

Caio DeRezende (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior
Eric Pohl (Fremd HS, Palatine, Ill.) both fell in three sets. Josh Pudlo bested DeRezende 6-2, 4-6, 10-5 at number two and Luke Ford rallied for a 2-6, 7-5, 10-6 win over Pohl at number four.

Samuel Totten (University HS, Normal, Ill.) 8-4 at first doubles. At number two, Brady Anderson and Nate Ackert were 8-3 winners over Viking freshmen
Peter Alex (Hinsdale South HS, Darien, Ill.) and
Tom Friberg (Lund, Sweden) and at number three, Jake Kudrick and Nate Greiner won by the same score over junior
Jack Morkin (University HS, Bloomington, Ill.) and DeRezende.
The rest of the singles matches saw Totten drop a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Anderson at number one. Alex fell to Kudrick two and two at number three and freshman
Guilherme Calixto (Presidente Prudente, Brazil) lost 6-2, 6-0 to Ackert at number five. Greiner beat freshman
Rodrigo Medeiros (Brazil) 6-4, 6-3 at sixth singles.
Augustana hosts Millikin at the Lower Campus Courts on Wednesday, April 25, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
