Senior Sam Totten was a winner at first singles and first doubles this past
Friday, as Augustana defeated Adrian 7-2 in Orlando, Florida.

In doubles play, seniors
Samuel Totten (University HS, Normal, Ill.) and
Eric Pohl (Palatine HS, Palatine, Ill.) were 8-1 winners at number one over Bulldogs Ronald Ducharme and Duda Nolan. Junior
Jack Morkin (University HS, Bloomington, Ill.) and
Rodrigo Medeiros (Brazil) defeated Tanner Wilcox and Nathan Waterbury 8-2 at number two and at third doubles, it was sophomore
Scott Daluga (Libertyville HS, Libertyville, Ill.) and freshman
Caio DeRezende (Sao Paulo, Brazil) besting Jeff Sophiea and Kevin Hernandez 8-2 as well.
Totten took 12 straight games from Ducharme at first doubles. Freshman
Peter Alex (Hinsdale South HS, Darien, Ill.) beat Sophiea 6-2, 7-5 at number two and Pohl posted a 6-0, 6-4 win over Wilcox at number three.
Augustana also got a victory from
Guilherme Calixto (Presidente Prudente, Brazil) at fourth singles. The freshman defeated Kyle Haines 7-5, 7-5.
Junior
Alex Riddle (York HS, Elmhurst, Ill.) and sophomore
Ryan Sullivan (Gow School, Winnetka, Ill.) dropped their matches at numbers five and six, respectively. Waterbury bested Riddle 6-1, 6-0 and Sullivan fell to Jonathon Rhind three and three.
The Vikings will host Illinois Tech on Friday, March 9 at the Quad City Tennis Club in Moline, Illinois beginning at 6:00 p.m.
