Junior Jack Morkin won both of his matches Thursday as Augustana
defeated Cornell 9-0 at the Lower Campus Courts.

Jon Miedema's Augustana men matched the performance of the women's team Thursday night, whitewashing Cornell 9-0 at the Lower Campus Courts. The Vikings improved their dual meet record to 9-7 on the season, while the Rams fell to 2-9.
In doubles action, sophomore
Scott Daluga (Libertyville HS, Libertyville, Ill.) and junior
Alex Riddle (York HS, Elmhurst, Ill.) defeated Auston Sack and Connor Schanen 8-2 at number three and junior
Jack Morkin (University HS, Bloomington, Ill.) and freshman
Peter Alex (Hinsdale South HS, Darien, Ill.) were 8-4 winners over Tucker Barnes and Tom Greene at number two. At number one, seniors
Samuel Totten (University HS, Normal, Ill.) and
Eric Pohl won 8-5 over Shoma Kishimoto and Hayden Dzurisin.
In singles play, freshman
Guilherme Calixto (Presidente Prudente, Brazil) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Schanen at number five. Pohl and freshmen
Caio DeRezende (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Rodrigo Medeiros (Brazil) all won their matches by scores of 6-2, 6-0. DeRezende bested Dzursin at number two. Pohl downed Barnes at number three and Sack fell to Medeiros at number six.
Morkin beat Greene 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles and Totten handled Kishimoto 6-1, 6-4 at number one.
Augustana begins College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play on Wednesday, April 4, hosting Illinois Wesleyan at the Lower Campus Courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.
