th in the latest D3hoops.com national poll, used a torrid second half shooting performance to break away from Augustana and pick up a 99-70 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin victory on Wednesday, January 31 in Bloomington, Illinois. The Titans broke the game open in the second half thanks to some remarkable shooting in the final 20 minutes of play.

Victoria Allen (Eureka HS, Wildwood, Mo.) basket at the buzzer cut Illinois Wesleyan's lead to 45-37 at halftime to give the Vikings some life. However, the home team opened the third period with an 11-1 run to take a 56-38 advantage and put the game out of reach.
In the second half the Titans shot .625 (20-32) from the field and made two of three three-point field goals along with 12 of 16 free throws. For the game Illinois Wesleyan hit .521 (38-73) from the floor and .429 (six of 14) from three point range.
Augustana shot .542 (13-24) in the first half and hit .480 (24-50) for the game but were hindered by 27 turnovers against the Titan full-court pressure.
Sophomore
Alexis Jones (Marist HS, Chicago, Ill.) led Augustana in scoring with 18 points as she connected on six of eight shots from the floor and six of eight from the free throw line. She also had six rebounds with two assists, two blocked shot and a steal.
Junior
Clare Kramer (Prophetstown HS, Lyndon, Ill.) had 17 points on seven of 10 from the field with one of one from three point range and two of two from the charity stripe. She grabbed three rebounds as well. Junior
Izzy Anderson (Alleman Catholic HS, Rock Island, Ill.) and Allen each scored 10 points.
Illinois Wesleyan enjoyed a 39-27 advantage in rebounding and the Titans got 21 points from Sydney Shanks and 19 from Maddie Merritt.
Augustana fell to 12-8 overall and 5-6 in the CCIW while the Titans moved to 18-2 and 11-0.
