Senior Claire Martin had 22 digs and a pair of service aces in Augustana's
five-set win over Hamline Saturday in Platteville, Wisconsin.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – After dropping it first two games with Hamline Saturday morning at Williams Fieldhouse, Augustana roared back to take three straight and improve to 5-6 on the year. Senior
Emily Westermeyer (Huntley HS, Huntley, Ill.) led the way with 13 kills and an additional four Vikings added nine apiece.
Hamline took the opening game 25-22 and outlasted Augustana 28-26 in the second.
Coach
Kelly Bethke's team responded with a decisive 25-10 win in the third set and took the fourth 25-20 before clinching the match with a 15-13 fifth-set victory.

Taryn VanEarwage (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) added eight.
Musick was the most efficient Viking on the attack, posting a percentage of .438 for the match. Uglem and Ward had matching marks of .412. Augustana hit .248 as a team, with 60 kills and 20 errors in 161 attempts.

Martin led the Vikings with 22 digs—four more than VanEarwage—and Bialobok was in on a team-high four blocks.
Bethke's club opens CCIW play on Tuesday, September 19, traveling to Kenosha, Wisconsin to face Carthage in a 7:00 p.m. match.
