double figures, as Augustana beat Carroll 102-61 to move to 12-3 on the
season and 5-1 in the CCIW.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – A balanced scoring attack, which saw seven players finish in double figures, keyed Augustana's 102-61 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women's basketball victory over Carroll at home on Saturday, January 14. The win allowed head coach Mark Beinborn's team to stay in a first place tie with Wheaton and Illinois Wesleyan as all three teams sport 5-1 records in league play.

This game was never close as the Vikings scored the first nine points of the contest and led by 13 points (17-4) with less than five minutes gone (5:36) in the first quarter. By the end of the first stanza the lead was 23-10 and by halftime it was a 28 point margin (53-25). Eventually it would reach 41 points (98-57) at 2:41 and that is what the gap was at the end of the game as well.

Augustana put seven players in double digits in scoring and that was one more player than Carroll used in the game as only six Pioneers saw action.

Senior Kaycee Kallenberger (Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, Iowa) was a force in the middle as she scored 15 points and hauled in a game-high 20 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end. The 20 rebounds is one shy of the Vikings school record of 21 set by Keesha Brooks on January 16, 1993 against Carthage.

Senior Mikayla Fallon (United Township HS, East Moline, Ill.) and sophomore Izzy Anderson (Alleman Catholic HS, Rock Island, Ill.) dropped in 13 apiece with senior Jennifer VanWatermeulen (United Township HS, Silvis, Ill.) and sophomore Meghan Stovall (Broomfield HS, Broomfield, Colo.) had 12. Sophomore Carly McCameron (Mundelein HS, Mundelein, Ill.) scored 11 and sophomore Sadie Roberts (United Township HS, East Moline, Ill.) tallied 10.

Augustana shot .545 (42-77) from the field, including .471 (eight of 17) from three point range. The statistic that really jumped out was the rebounding margin of 54-36 enjoyed by the Vikings. In addition to Kallenberger's 20, McCameron had seven while Roberts pulled in six and Fallon five.

Junior Victoria Allen (Eureka HS, Wildwood, Mo.) led the team in assists with five while Fallon had four and sophomore Scooter Lopez (Mountain Vista HS, Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had three. Lopez also had a team-high three steals.

Carroll got 23 points from Morgan Lund, 16 from Brittney Wald and 14 out of Caylee Koker.

Augustana is now 12-3 overall and 5-1 in the CCIW while Carroll fell to 1-13 and 1-5. The Vikings host co-league leader Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carver Center.
