Jon Miedema dug into his deep roster Saturday as his Vikings defeated Wartburg 9-0 at the lower campus courts. Later in the day, Miedema's squad moved indoors to the Quad-City Tennis and fell 9-0 to a powerful Wisconsin-Whitewater outfit. Augustana is 15-4 in dual meet action this season. Wartburg is now 6-10 and Whitewater improved to 13-0.

Caitlyn Schaffer (Kenwood Academy, Chicago, Ill.) was an 8-6 winner over Wartburg's Katherine Ross and Melissa Davis.
The Vikings were even more dominant in singles, with no Knight winning more than two games in a set. At number one, Goggin downed Ross one and love. Magee was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Davis at second singles and MacDonald downed Reusche one and one at third singles.
Schaffer defeated Peterson 6-1, 6-2 at number four. Freshman
Madeline Lombardi (Edwardsville HS, Glen Carbon, Ill.) bested Alexa Schmitz 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles and sophomore
Rachel Kammerzelt (Prairie School, Union Grove, Wis.) was a love, love victor over Peri Benna at number six.
UW-WHITEWATER 9, AUGUSTANA 0 Dana Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) and MacDonald dropped an 8-4 decision to Megan Humphreys and Bridgid McGuire at first doubles.
Lauren Goggin and Magee fell to Alicia Beck and Jillian Wallace 8-3 at number two and Schaffer and Lombardi suffered an 8-4 setback at number three to Gabi Kitchell and Alexandra Talyansky.
MacDonald and Shaffer, at numbers four and five, each took their respective singles matches to three sets. Talyansky bested MacDonald 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 and Shaffer fall to Wallace by the same scores.
Humphreys defeated
Lauren Goggin 7-5, 6-1 at first singles and Kitchell downed
Dana Goggin 6-3, 6-1 at number two. At third singles, it was McGuire winning one and love over Magee and Beck scored a 6-3, 6-2 win over Andonova at number six.
