The Vikings dropped a 7-2 decision to Davenport in the morning before bouncing back with a 9-0 win over Rose-Hulman in the afternoon.
DAVENPORT 7, AUGUSTANA 2 The Vikings picked up just one win in doubles and one in singles and lost 7-2 to Davenport on Monday, February 29 in Orlando, Florida. With the defeat Augustana falls to 12-2 overall.
The number three doubles team of freshmen
Caitlyn Schaffer (Kenwood Academy, Chicago, Ill.) and
Madeline Lombardi (Edwardsville HS, Glen Carbon, Ill.) defeated Hannah Murphy and Emily Spiech by a score of 8-6.
Schaffer picked up the other point for the Vikings when she beat Spiech 5-7; 7-6; 10-8 at number five singles.

Dana Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) and senior
Aileen MacDonald (Mundelein HS, Mundelein, Ill.) fell 3-8 to Alyssa Fuentes and Puck Luttikuis. The number two team of sophomore
Mollie Magee (Olathe East HS, Overland Park, Kan.) and junior
Lauren Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) dropped a 4-8 decision to Steph Ritson and Anne Douwes.
In singles action MacDonald fell 6-4; 1-6; 8-10 to Ritson at number four.
Lauren Goggin lost 2-6; 3-6 to Fuentes at number one and
Dana Goggin lost 4-6; 4-6 to Luttikuis at number two. Magee fell 1-6; 1-6 to Douwes at number three and junior
Vicki Andonova (Downers Grove South HS, Westmont, Ill.) lost 4-6; 4-6 to Murphy at number six.
AUGUSTANA 9, ROSE-HULMAN 0 It didn't take long for head coach
Jon Miedema's team to get back on track as the Vikings defeated Rose-Hulman 9-0 in non-conference action on Monday, February 29 in Orlando, Florida.
Things started well in doubles as Augustana swept through the Engineers, losing a total of just six games.
Dana Goggin and MacDonald beat Bella Evans and Lauren Edwards 8-0 at number one and Schaffer and Lombardi took care of Sydney Short and Linde Schaffer 8-4 at number two. In the number three slot
Lauren Goggin teamed with junior
Amy Even (Downers Grove South HS, Downers Grove, Ill.) to defeat Becca Stanley and Beata Barati 8-2.
Singles was pretty much the same as the Vikings won three matches by identical 6-0; 6-0 scores. Magee beat Schaffer (6-0; 6-0) at number three, MacDonald did the same to Stanley at number four and Andonova followed suit against Coco Liu at number five.
Lauren Goggin beat Evans 6-2; 6-2 at number one and
Dana Goggin defeated Edwards 6-0; 6-1 at number two. Sophomore
Rachel Kammerzelt (The Prairie School, Union Grove, Wis.) stepped in at number six and beat Paige Bateman 6-0; 6-2.
