on Thursday night at Loras as the Vikings won 28-16.

Freshman
Trent Jackson (Moline HS, Moline, Ill.) got the Vikings off to a fast start at 125 pounds when he pinned Jake Lamantia with just 11 seconds left in the first period. Sophomore
Freddy Terranova (Jackson Memorial HS, Jackson, New Jersey) fell behind 4-2 at the end of one period in his 133 pound bout with Michael Triplett. In the third period Terranova picked up a reversal and eventually pinned Triplett at 6:51 to make it 12-0 in favor of Augustana.
Junior
Brendan Gould (Davenport Assumption HS, Davenport, Iowa) picked up a forfeit at 141 to push the lead to 18-0 before Loras scored wins in the next two weight classes to close the margin to 18-8. At 149 pounds the DuHawks Clint Lembeck picked up a narrow 8-7 win over senior
Matt Sears (Marist HS, New Lenox, Ill.) at 149 and Jimmy Davis won a technical fall over freshman
Josh Bush (Moline HS, Moline, Ill.) at 157.
With the score now 18-8, junior
Trace Timmons (Davenport Assumption HS, Davenport, Iowa) recorded a major decision over Gabriel Pleasants of Loras at 165 by a score of 12-4. That gave the Vikings a 22-8 lead.
The DuHawks won at 174 when Samuel Schuler beat junior
Nick Torres (Lincoln-Way Central HS, Manhattan, Ill.) 8-0 to close the gap to 22-12. Junior
Christos Giatras (Lemont HS, Lemont, Ill.) beat Awais Arain 9-2 at 184 pounds to 25-12 and seal the team win for Augustana.
Loras won at 197 pounds when Guy Patron beat senior
Ethan Benoit (Marist HS, Oak Lawn, Ill.) 13-2 before sophomore
Adarios Jones (Moline HS, Moline, Ill.) closed things out for the Vikings with a 9-5 win over Quin Gilliam at 285 pounds. Jones remained undefeated on the year at 10-0.
The Vikings will compete in the North Central Invitational on Saturday, December 10 in Naperville, Illinois.
