Junior Chris Wilson won the 100 butterfly in :58.16 and swam the
third leg on the winning 200 medley relay team as the Vikings
defeated Monmouth 137-68 on Friday, November 18 in Monmouth.

Dan Lloyd spread things around pretty well as no swimmer was an individual double winner in the meet which allowed the Vikings to up their record to 3-0 on the season.
Things got off to a great start with a victory in the 200 medley relay, the first event of the meet, with a time of 1:39.42 by the team of sophomore

Ian Disteldorf (Brother Rice HS, Oak Forest, Ill.), junior

Disteldorf won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.16 and was second in the 50 freestyle (:22.73). Wilson won the 100 butterfly in :58.16.
Ekberg picked up a win in the 100 backstroke (:52.85) later on in the meet as he led a one-two-three Augustana sweep of the event. Freshman
Greg Roskowic (Rockford East HS, Rockford, Ill.) was second (:56.87) and freshman
Connor Bullard (Rockford Auburn HS, Rockford, Ill.) took third (:58.17). Bullard also had a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:52.88).
Ekberg also helped the Vikings finished strongly with a win in the final event of the night, the 200 freestyle relay, with a time of 1:30.12. He was joined by sophomore
Bryan Haage (Huntley HS, Huntley, Ill.), freshman
Nate Prescher (Bettendorf HS, Bettendorf, Iowa) and Herron. Herron also added a third place finish in the 50 freestyle in :22.93 and Haage won the 200 freestyle in 1:47.69.
Freshman
Adam Smith (Palatine HS, Palatine, Ill.) won the 1000 freestyle in 10:28.31 and came back later in the meet to finish second in the 100 freestyle (:51.03). Freshman
Zach Ogden (United Township HS, Silvis, Ill.) was the winner of the 200 individual medley in 2:11.08.
Sophomore
Brendan Walker (Tinley Park HS, Oak Forest, Ill.) was second in the 100 butterfly (:59.50). Senior
Bryce Dibadj (Glenbard West HS, Glen Ellyn, Ill.) finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.56) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:11.30).
Freshman
Souhail Rhafiri (Rabat, Morocco) took third in the 200 freestyle in 1:53.99 and sophomore
Anthony Santangelo (St. Andrews Episcopal HS, Brandon, Miss.) was third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:32.67.
