Senior Jacqueline Kibir-Evans was named to the all-tournament team
at the Barker Classic on Saturday, October 8 in Bloomington.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Augustana shook off any lingering effects from a tough 3-2 loss to Illinois Wesleyan the previous night with a pair of commanding victories in the Barker Classic in Bloomington, Illinois on Saturday, October 8. The Vikings dropped a heartbreaking five-set match to the Titans on Friday, October 7 but came back on the same court at the Shirk Center to defeat Lincoln Christian 3-0 (25-12; 25-21; 25-16) and Fontbonne 3-0 (25-14; 25-22; 25-21) less than 24 hours later.
Senior middle hitter
Jacqueline Kibir-Evans (Trinity HS, Forest Park, Ill.) was named to the all-tournament team at the Barker Classic as Augustana moved to 16-5 overall. She had 15 kills in the two matches on Saturday with three hitting errors in just 26 attempts. She also had eight total blocks (one solo and seven assisted).
AUGUSTANA 3, LINCOLN CHRISTIAN 0 (25-12; 25-21; 25-16)
The Vikings left little doubt against a Lincoln Christian team that came into the match with a 12-6 overall record. Augustana won the first set 25-12, took the second 25-21 and the third 25-16 in a match that lasted just a little over an hour.

Nicole Morrissey (Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Ill.) led a balanced offensive attack with nine kills and she also contributed four assisted blocks. Senior
Amy Kalkhoff (Clear Creek Amana HS, North Liberty, Iowa) chipped in with eight kills and had four digs, three blocks and a service ace. Senior
Jacqueline Kibir-Evans (Trinity HS, Forest Park, Ill.) had seven kills and was dominant at the net with seven total blocks (one solo and six assists).

Hannah Lindaman (North Scott HS, Eldridge, Iowa) and sophomore
McKenzie Zambrano (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) split the setting duties and Lindaman had 16 assists with three digs and a service ace while Zambrano contributed 14 assists, five digs and a service ace.
Junior
Emily Westermeyer (Huntley HS, Huntley, Ill.) led the team in digs with 12 and she had five kills and an assisted block. Sophomore
Taryn VanEarwage (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) picked up 11 digs with five kills and an assisted block. Sophomore
Sierra Rood (Lena-Winslow HS, Lena, Ill.) also had 11 digs with one service ace.

Augustana closed out a successful week with a 3-0 win over Fontbonne in the final match of the Barker Classic. Sophomore

McKenzie Zambrano (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) led the team in assists with 24 and had 10 digs and two service aces while senior
