Sophomore Vicki Andonova won a pair of singles matches
and one doubles contest as Augustana defeated Principia
and Lake Forest on Saturday, March 28.MOLINE, Ill. – Augustana was impressive with a pair of non-conference women's tennis victories on Saturday, March 28 at the Quad City Tennis Club in Moline, Illinois. The Vikings defeated Principia 9-0 and Lake Forest 8-1 to move to 18-5 overall.
The Vikings will be in action again on April 3-4 at the Midwest Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin.
AUGUSTANA 9, PRINCIPIA 0 Augustana opened its non-conference double header with a 9-0 sweep of Principia. The Vikings jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in doubles and then rolled to the win.

Aileen MacDonald (Mundelein HS, Mundelein, Ill.) won at number one singles by a score of 8-4 over Hanne Andersen and Kelly Adams. At number two sophomore
Lauren Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) and freshman
Mollie Magee (Olathe East HS, Overland Park, Kan.) beat Lily Richards and Gracie Buchanan 8-2. The final win in doubles came at number three where senior
Miranda Pence (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.) and sophomore
Amy Even (Downers Grove South HS, Downers Grove, Ill.) beat Claire Horton and Nathalie DeLoach 8-0.
The Augustana success continued in singles.
Lauren Goggin won 6-2; 6-2 over Andersen at number one and her twin sister
Dana Goggin beat Kelly Adams 6-2; 6-1 at number two. Magee defeated Richards 6-0; 6-0 at number three and MacDonald won 6-1; 6-0 over Buchanan at number four.
Pence defeated Horton 6-0; 6-1 at number five and sophomore

Dana Goggin picked up an 8-3 win over Lexi Chionis and Zoe Maurer at number two doubles and Pence and Andonova won 8-0 over Elinor Chalmers and Samantha Ryczek at number three.
The lone blemish on the Augustana ledger for the day was an 8-4 defeat suffered at number one doubles by
Lauren Goggin and MacDonald, who fell to Christi Valicenti and Grace Dowling 8-4.
Lauren Goggin beat Valicenti 6-2; 6-1 at number one singles and
Dana Goggin picked up a 6-2 6-3 victory over Dowling at number two. Magee beat Chionis 6-2; 6-1 at number three and MacDonald defeated Maurer 6-0; 6-0 at number four.
Pence beat Chalmers 6-2; 6-0 and Andonova picked up a 6-0; 6-0 win over Ryczek at number six.
