WHITEWATER, Wis. – University of Wisconsin Whitewater, ranked 27^th in the latest NCAA Division III poll,  handed Augustana a 9-0 women's tennis defeat Saturday, March 14 at the Wangerin Courts in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
 
Sophomore Lauren Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) lost 7-5; 6-3 to Megan Humphreys at number one. Sophomore Dana Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.)  went to three sets with Alexandra Talyansky before falling 6-4; 2-6; 3-6 at number two. Wisconsin Whitewater's Jillian Wallace beat Mollie Magee (Olathe East, Overland Park, Kan.)  6-3; 6-3 at number three.
 
At number four, junior Aileen MacDonald (Mundelein HS, Mundelein, Ill.) lost to Amanda Dick 6-1; 6-4. Senior Miranda Pence (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.)  fell to Rachel Siemon 7-5; 6-3 at number five. Wisconsin Whitewater's Emily Sodemann defeated sophomore Vicki Andonova (Downers Grove South HS, Westmont, Ill.) 7-5; 7-5 at number six.  
 
Wisconsin Whitewater jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the match after doubles play was completed. The Goggin twins fell to Humphrey and Wallace 4-8 at number one. MacDonald and Magee lost a 2-8 decision at number two to Bridgid McGuire and Talyansky and Pence and Andonova dropped a 1-8 decision to Dick and Siemon.
 
The Vikings move to 15-4 on the season. Augustana will play two matches Saturday, March 21. The Vikings will face Coe at 9:00 a.m. and St. Ambrose at 12:00 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
