ranked Elmhurst at Carver Center.ROCK ISLAND, Ill - Augustana dropped a match to #16 Elmhurst College in its fourth conference appearance on Friday, October 9 at the Carver Center in Rock Island, Illinois. The Vikings lost with scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-22. Augustana is now 1-3 in the CCIW, with an overall record of 8-9. The visitors improved to 17-6 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Coming out hungry, the Vikings created a back and forth battle with the nationally ranked Bluejays from the first point of game one. Augustana was unable to finish, which ultimately helped Elmhurst sweep the Vikings 3-0.

Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) led Augustana with 12 kills and chipped in seven digs. Senior
Sydney Sand (Burlington Central HS Elgin, Ill.) had five on the night.

Elmhurst's Hannah Nimrick had 21 assists and eight kills. Coming in right behind, Mary Lawrence contributed seven kills.
The Vikings will make a quick turnaround, traveling to Waverly, Iowa to take on Wartburg on Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. and Luther at 1:00 p.m.
