Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. – A costly three-minute stretch late in the game proved costly for Augustana as the Vikings dropped a 76-62 decision at North Park in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin action on Saturday, February 22 in Chicago, Illinois. It was the season finale for second-year head coach Mark Beinborn's second campaign and Augustana ends with a 6-19 overall record and a 2-12 mark in the CCIW.
 
In a game that was tied a total of 11 times and had 10 lead changes, the Vikings appeared to be in good shape when senior Jessica Baids (West Chicago HS, Carol Stream, Ill.) scored with 6:41 left to give her team a 53-52 lead. However, North Park went on a 13-0 run over the next 2:50 to take a 65-53 lead with 3:51 to go.
 
During that critical portion of the game, North Park hit on five of six shots, including two three pointers and a free throw while the Vikings missed four shots and turned it over once. Baids hit two free throws with 3:38 left to stop the run and make the score 65-55 but the damage had been done.
 
Baids scored 18 points and grabbed four rebounds while fellow senior Molly Etheridge (Normal Community HS, Bloomington, Ill.) had 13 points and five rebounds and sophomore Marissa Pezzopane (Addison Trail HS, Wood Dale, Ill.) chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds. Senior Chaney Tambling (Dwight HS, Dwight, Ill.) had nine points and team-high seven rebounds. The final senior playing in her last game was Amy Hicks (Rockford Christian HS, Rockford, Ill.) who did not score but led the team with four assists and pulled down four rebounds.
 
North Park, now 12-12 and 5-8, was led in scoring by Dominikque Williams with 12 points. North Park shot .478 (32-67) from the field and in the second half scorched the nets at a .581 (18-31) clip.
