service ace as Augustana defeated North Central 3-1
in CCIW action on Tuesday in the Carver Center.ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana shook off a sluggish start to defeat North Central 3-1 in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin volleyball action on Tuesday, October 7 in the Carver Center. After dropping the first set by a score of 25-21, the Vikings roared back to takes sets two and three by identical 25-18 counts and then won the fourth 25-13.

Kelly Bethke's team spread the wealth around on offense with four players recording at least eight kills apiece. Senior
Dory Dudley (Tremont HS, Tremont, Ill.) led the way with 12 kills in 26 attempts and she also had a pair of digs and three total blocks (two assists and one solo). Junior
Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) picked up 11 kills in 23 attempts with 10 digs and a setting assist.
Senior
Emily Leazer (St. Viator HS, Mt. Prospect, Ill.) ripped off nine kills in a team-high 32 attempts. She also had 10 digs, one solo block and a service ace. Sophomore
Nicole Morrissey (Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Ill.) added eight kills with two assisted blocks.
Junior
Jordan Hampel (Hilliard-Davidson HS, Hilliard, Ohio) picked up 20 setting assists with nine digs while sophomore
Hannah Lindaman (North Scott HS, Eldridge, Iowa) had 19 setting assists, 10 digs and a game-high three service aces.
Junior libero
Kylie Siebert (Kaneland HS, Sugar Grove, Ill.) picked up 19 digs with eight setting assists and one service ace. Senior
Julee Morrison (Chaparral HS, Scottsdale, Ariz.) added 10 digs, one assist and one service ace.
North Central was led by Julie Laugel with 12 kills while Laurie Kluk had a game-high 29 setting assists. Jill Glovic picked up 31 digs.
Augustana is now 16-5 overall and 2-1 in the CCIW while North Central falls to 14-4 and 0-2 in league play. The Vikings will host the University of Dubuque in a non-conference match on Friday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carver Center where they are 6-0 this season.
