for the all-tournament team at the Wisconsin-Platteville

th ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the morning to finish the Wisconsin-Platteville Tournament on a high note on Saturday, October 4 in Platteville, Wisconsin. The Vikings dropped a 3-0 decision to the highly ranked Pointers by scores of 25-21; 25-23; 25-14 in the first match of the day but came back and defeated Wisconsin-River Falls for the second time this season by a count of 3-1 (25-23; 25-15; 15-25; 25-17) in the afternoon.
First year head coach
Kelly Bethke's team is now 15-5 on the season heading into a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin matchup on Tuesday, October 7 against North Central. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. The Vikings are currently 1-1 in league play.
Junior libero
Kylie Siebert (Kaneland HS, Sugar Grove, Ill.) was named to the all-tournament team, the only Augustana player selected. She was joined on the team by Emma Brunkhorst and Hannah Picel of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Hanna Cahoon of Carthage, Allison Jensen of Wisconsin-Platteville and Lexi Pingel of Wisconsin-River Falls. On Saturday, Siebert totaled 27 digs and two service aces in two matches. She had 30 digs, four service aces and a setting assist on Friday night in a 3-2 win over host Wisconsin-Platteville.
#15 UW-STEVENS POINT 3, AUGUSTANA 0 (21-25;; 23-25; 14-25)The Vikings hung close with the 15
th ranked Pointers in the first two sets, falling 25-21 in set number one and 25-23 in set number two. The third set went to UW-Stevens Point by a count of 25-14.
Sophomore
Nicole Morrissey (Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Ill.) led the offensive production for Augustana with eight kills and added a blocking assist. Junior
Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) had six kills and five digs and senior
Emily Leazer (St. Viator HS, Mt. Prospect, Ill.) chipped in with five kills, seven digs and a service ace.
Junior
Jordan Hampel (Hilliard-Davidson HS, Hilliard, Ohio) picked up 13 assists and two digs and sophomore
Hannah Lindaman (North Scott HS, Eldridge, Iowa) had nine assists and two digs. Siebert picked up a team high 18 digs.
AUGUSTANA 3, UW-RIVER FALLS 1 (25-23; 25-15; 15-25; 25-17)For the second time this season the Vikings defeated the Falcons by the score of 3-1. The first time the two teams met was back on August 30 in the Viking Classic.
Sophomore
Jacqueline Kibir-Evans (Trinity HS, Forest Park, Ill.) was a force in this match as she picked up a team-high 12 kills with three total blocks (one solo and two assists) and a dig. Kibir-Evans had just one hitting error in 20 attempts and ended up with a kill percentage of .550.
Murray and senior
Dory Dudley (Tremont HS, Tremont, Ill.) each had nine kills and an assisted block. Murray had two digs and Dudley one. Leazer and Morrissey both had eight kills as the Vikings spread the offense around. Leazer picked up 11 digs with one assisted block and Morrissey had one dig and one assisted block.
Hampel dished out 27 setting assists with one service aces and Lindaman had 19 assists with four digs. Siebert had nine digs and two service aces.
