Jon Miedema clinched the top spot and can sew up an undefeated regular season for the fall with a win at Elmhurst on Sunday, September 29.
The CCIW will determine its conference champion over the weekend of October 5-6 in a flighted tournament in Bloomington, Illinois. The league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III national tournament will come in the spring during a dual meet tournament between the top four teams from the fall season. Augustana, by virtue of its 6-3 win over Wheaton on Saturday, September 14 owns the number one seed for that event, which will be held on May 3 in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Senior
Kim Sawyer (Batavia HS, Batavia, Ill.), who earlier this week became the all-time winningest player in school history for combined career victories (singles and doubles), led the way on Saturday. Sawyer beat Katie Drone at number one singles by a score of 6-0; 6-1 to push her record to a glossy 15-2 this year. She also teamed with sophomore
Aileen MacDonald (Mundelein HS, Mundelein, Ill.) to defeat Madeline Urban and Reynolds Cross 8-2 at number two doubles. Sawyer and MacDonald are 9-2 as a team this fall. MacDonald is now 9-2 in singles after beating Madeline Urban 6-2; 6-4 at number four singles.
Freshman
Lauren Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) whitewashed Miranda Grizaffi 6-0; 6-0 at number two singles and hit the double digit mark in singles victories this fall with a 10-3 records. Freshman
Dana Goggin (Buffalo Grove HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) beat Kelsey Forkin 6-0; 6-1 at number three singles and is now 6-3 on the year. The Goggin twins beat Drone and Forkin 8-0 at number one doubles and they now have a 9-3 record for the fall.

Chelsea Lavin (Downers Grove South HS, Downers Grove, Ill.) beat Kassandra Bernardo and Jenny Velasquez 8-2 and advanced its record to 8-3.

Emily Kaczmarek (Glenbard South HS, Lombard, Ill.) dropped a 6-3; 6-3 decision to Kayla Garcia at number five singles and senior
Mariah Bardo (Sterling HS, Sterling, Ill.) fell to Megan Marble 6-3; 7-5 at number six singles.
The Vikings are now 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the CCIW while North Central fell to 6-5 and 1-4.
