ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana women's swimming & diving team won its second and third meets in two days with a 148-91 win over Lake Forest and a 165-69 victory over Morningside on Saturday, November 9 in Rock Island, Illinois. The Vikings were victorious in eight of the 13 events on the day.
 
Senior Helen Myers (Pecatonica HS, Rock City, Ill.) took first and broke the school record in the three meter six-dive competition with a score of 268.35.  Myers also took second in the one meter dive with 235.65 points. Sophomore Adelia Clark (Linn Mar HS, Marion, Iowa) and Megan McGregor (Lincoln-Way East HS, Mokena, Ill.) were fourth and fifth, respectively, in both events. Clark scored a 205.55 at one meter and a 219.65 at three, while McGregor's scores were190.80 and 197.20.
 
Emma Shie (Central HS, Davenport, Iowa) was victorious in the 200 IM (2:21.57) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.38) and also swam the second leg on the first-place 200 medley relay team (1:54.68).  Shie was joined by Allison Patch (Moline HS, Coal Valley, Ill.), Emma Novak (Eden Prairie HS, Eden Prairie, Minn.), and Hillary Ferguson (Waubonsie Valley HS, Naperville, Ill.). Ferguson also won the 50 freestyle (:25.47) and 100 freestyle (:57.20) events. Patch won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.33 and took second in the 200 IM (2:24.90).  Novak finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:05.03) and second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:03.44.
 
Michelle Johnson (Lockport Twp. HS, Homer Glen, Ill.) took home second place in both the 1000 freestyle finishing in 11:14.41 as well as the 500 freestyle (5:37.93) and also swam the first leg of the third place 200 freestyle relay team (1:48.60). Jamie Graf (Lincoln-Way Central HS, Downers Grove, Ill.) placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.16) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:29.49) and also swam the third leg for the 200 freestyle relay. Sophomore Jordan Johnson (Appleton North HS, Appleton, Wis.) took fourth in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:15.99.
 
Graf and Johnson were joined on the third place 200 freestyle relay team by Laura Pemberton (Fremont HS, Fremont, Neb.) and McKenzie Mears (Mahtomedi HS, Mahtomedi, Minn.). Mears also finished fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:00.07) and seventh in the 50 freestyle (:27.79).
 
Erin Doty (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.) finished fourth in the 1000 freestyle (12:16.62) and fifth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:05.16. Abigail Bean (Carl Sandburg HS, Orland Park, Ill.) placed fourth and fifth in the 50 freestyle (:27.38) and the 100 freestyle (1:00.45), respectively. Senior Katie Pittman (Mahomet-Seymour HS, Mahomet, Ill.) was fifth in the 200 freestyle, finishing in 2:17.32. Pemberton placed fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:09.56.
