ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana split the final two matches of the Pumpkin Bash Tournament on Saturday, October 26 at the PepsiCo Recreation Center. The Vikings finished 2-2 in the tournament and on the final day they defeated Simpson 3-2 (28-26; 18-25; 26-28; 25-23; 15-7) before falling to Coe 3-0 (18-25; 10-25; 17-25).

Steve Hennings, Augustana is now 16-12 overall heading into a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin match at home against Carthage on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m.
AUGUSTANA 3, SIMPSON 2 (28-26; 18-25; 26-28; 25-23; 15-7)
The Vikings dug themselves a hole early in game one, falling behind 17-8 before rallying for a thrilling 28-26 win that helped propel them to a 3-2 win over the Storm. After winning that first set, Augustana fell 25-18 and 28-26 in the second and third. With their backs to the wall, the Vikings rallied for a 25-23 win in game four and then came out and controlled the fifth game en route to a 15-7 win.
Sophomore
Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) led the offense with 15 kills and she also had 12 digs, three service aces and an assisted block. Senior
Morgan Stittleburg (Black River Falls HS, Black River Falls, Wis.) added 12 kills with two assisted blocks, a setting assist and a dig. Freshman
Nicole Morrissey (Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Ill.) also reached double digits in kills with 10 and she had four digs and three assisted blocks.
Junior
Emily Leazer (St. Viator HS, Mt. Prospect, Ill.) chipped in with seven kills and she posted 22 digs with a solo block and three assisted blocks. Junior
Samantha Kammerman (Sherrard HS, Milan, Ill.) had six kills with three service aces and five assisted blocks.
Sophomore
Jordan Hampel (Hilliard Davidson HS, Hilliard, Ohio) led the team in setting assists with 28 and she had two service aces and four digs. Freshman
Hannah Lindaman (North Scott HS, Eldridge, Iowa) came up with 24 setting assists and nine digs. Sophomore
Kylie Siebert (Kaneland HS, Sugar Grove, Ill.) had a team leading 26 digs.
COE 3, AUGUSTANA 0 (25-18; 25-10; 25-17)
Augustana had no answer for the 32-3 Kohawks, falling in three sets by scores of 25-18; 25-10 and 25-17. Earlier in the year the two teams met in the Carver Center and the Vikings fell 3-2 in a hard-fought match. It was a little different this time around as Coe controlled the outcome from the start.
Freshman
Nicole Morrissey (Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Ill.) led the team in kills with six and she had four digs and an assisted block. Sophomore

Amber Dalgaard (Antioch HS, Antioch, Ill.) led the team in digs with 10. Sophomore outside hitter
Martha Murray had three service aces, eight digs, a solo block and an assisted block with two kills.
