Augustana College Athletics

Wally Goranson graduated from Augustana College in 1930.  He was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.  Goranson was an end in football, a guard in basketball, and pitcher and first baseman in baseball which earned him a total of 11 letters. 

Goranson was elected captain of the baseball team in 1929 and that same year he was honored on the All-State and All-Conference football team as an end.  With such achievements, he has earned his way into the Hall of Honor.
