The Reverend Paul Randolph, a standout offensive lineman on the Viking football team, was also a talented baseball player and a member of the basketball squad. He served as team captain in football and was named to the all-time All-Augustana football team in 1930 by the Observer and the Viking football staff.

Randolph entered the ministry upon graduation and served as a Lutheran pastor from 1925 until 1968. During that time he also served as Director of the Lutheran Service Center in Seattle from 1942-46. In 1962 he was presented with the Outstanding Service Award by the Augustana Alumni Association.
