Augustana College Athletics

Dr. C. W. Sorensen, President of Augustana College from 1962-1975, was installed as an honorary member of the Augustana College Alumni Tribe of Vikings Hall of Honor.  He was so honored for providing the guiding and visionary leadership leading to the building of the functional and aesthetically beautiful Roy J. Carver physical education center. 

It was with deep gratitude that the Alumni Tribe of Viking Hall of Honor committee unanimously voted Dr. Sorensen into Honorary membership in the Hall of Honor in 1978.  He is to be forever enshrined with the great men of the Augustana College athletic tradition.
